Building Fact Sheet
The building located on the corner of 52nd Street consists of one (1)
basement and eight (8) floors.
HVAC
Heating is provided by finned - tube radiators located in metal convector
enclosures at the perimeter beneath each window. The system is fed with
hot water generated by a steam to hot water converter located in the
basement. A second converter produces hot water feeding the heating coils
included in the air conditioning on each floor. Both hot water loops are
provided with in line circulating pumps with standby units, and automatic
controls.
Air Conditioning is provided by package, water cooled floor units, 20 tons
each, single zone, constant volume located in individual mechanical
equipment rooms. These rooms function as return air plenums and are
provided with external louvers sized to minimize outside air intake.
Electric
Electric service is supplied by Con Edison at 120/208 volt 3 phase, 4
wire, 60 hertz for building electrical equipment and DC (direct current)
for the elevators. The service is master metered.
There is one (1) electric closet per floor containing one (1) 200 ampere
120/208 volt, 3 phase, 4 wire panel board for lighting and receptacles and
one (1) 200 ampere 120/208 volt, 3 phase, 3 wire disconnect switch for
mechanical equipment.
Emergency Power
The building does not have an emergency power generation system.
Emergency lighting is provided by local battery pack units.
Fire Alarm System
The building is served by a multiplex type system (Edwards, Type G.S.
5800)
Plumbing
Domestic cold water services are provided from East 52nd Street. Hot water
consists of a steam fired storage type water heater.
Gas
There is a 1 ½ inch natural gas service from East 52nd Street.
Sprinklers
The Basement, First, Mezzanine and Second Floors are sprinklered
throughout.
